Club History

Few places match the atmosphere at Amata Spring Country Club.

This unique oasis has become home to one of the most established and revered clubs in Asia. The property is a true paradise. Located in a corner of Chonburi, life at Amata Spring Country Club is truly unique.

Established in 2005 with the vision of creating an extraordinary golf facility for the Kingdom of Thailand, the club’s rise to prominence has been complemented by staging some of the most recognized Championships. The property’s infrastructure was strategically designed to host such events; inviting the world’s best to test their game around the distinct design.

Renowned golf course architect Lee Schmidt from Schmidt-Curley Design was tasked with designing and building the golf course. The original plot of land designated for the course posed numerous challenges. The entire plot was completely flat with a massive lake in the middle of the property. To help create and deliver a change in elevation, the water level of the lake was lowered by approximately 10 meters which was crucial in helping to create the elevated tees and rolling fairways. Currently both the 17th and 18th holes rest about 8 meters below sea level.

The course is the jewel in the crown of this iconic members club. Carefully conceived, each hole displays a distinct character which combine to provide golfers with a paradisiacal on-course experience. Quality is synonymous with the club and course condition is unparalleled. The attention to detail runs through every aspect of club life, enchanting members and guests alike.
