Course Intro

Designed by renowned golf course architect Lee Schmidt of Schmidt-Curley Design, the course has become a mainstay on televisions around the world as host venue for Thailand’s biggest Championships. A favorite amongst the very best, the course displays a multitude of playing characteristics and can vary its proposition depending on the occasion.

The signature 17th “floating green” hole is one of the most notable in world golf. Players arrive at an elevated tee and eye a green sitting in the vast lake of Amata Spring. The putting surface is reached by a short boat trip beneath the spectacular Amata Castle.

A key aspect of course construction was repurposing the lakebed to develop the creative elevation changes for which Amata Spring CC is famed. It became the focal point of the entire course and comes into play on seven holes.
